Another addition to the Chevrolet and AEV partnership is the 2024 Silverado HD ZR2 and the Bison trim level. This is an updated version of the previous Colorado and Silverado LD ZR2 Bison models. The renowned ZR2 badge often associated with Chevrolet’s off-road capability has now been incorporated into the 2024 Silverado HD ZR2, the brand’s premier heavy-duty off-roader. This new model has further elevated the Silverado HD’s reputation when it comes to off-roading.
The 2024 Silverado HD ZR2 and ZR2 Bison are exclusively offered in the 2500 Crew Cab configuration, available with the standard 6.6L gasoline engine or the 6.6L Duramax Turbo-Diesel. These models are equipped with various upgrades specifically designed to enhance their off-road capabilities. Whether navigating rocky trails, traversing challenging terrains, or towing large recreational vehicles on your weekend getaway, the Silverado HD ZR2 and HD ZR2 Bison are more than capable of handling it all.
The production of these vehicles is set to commence later this summer, with pricing details to be announced closer to the beginning of production. With the addition of the First-Ever Silverado HD ZR2, the ZR2 family now consists of the Colorado ZR2, Silverado 1500 ZR2, and the latest heavy-duty model.

Chevrolet Silverado Engine
The Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD/3500HD is available with two engine options: a gasoline-powered 6.6-liter V8 and a diesel-powered 6.6-liter V8. The gasoline engine is rated at 401 horsepower and 464 lb-ft of torque, while the diesel engine is rated at 445 horsepower and 910 lb-ft of torque. The diesel engine is the preferred choice for those who require maximum towing capacity.
